OUR MISSION

GAPWS promotes and fosters public awareness of the national character and culture of Greece, Hellenism, and/or ethnically Greek or Greek speaking peoples through social, cultural and educational activities. It provides charitable gifts through scholarships to young women based on 
criteria consistent with its purposes.

ABOUT US

Since 1999, the Greek American Professional Women's Society has been dedicated to serving Greek-American professional women of the San Francisco Bay Area.  Join our group to meet women with diverse professional backgrounds who get together to exchange ideas, attend educational activities, work together to support young women through scholarships, and celebrate Greek heritage and culture.

GAPWS is a tax-exempt organization under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code of 1986, as amended, and a California public benefit corporation, RCT Reg. No. CT0274194.

THE 2024 GAPWS SCHOLARSHIP AWARD

The Greek American Professional Women’s Society is proud to support and mentor young women who work towards advancing their education and becoming successful members of their communities.

The Society announces a scholarship award to be offered to a female college student of Hellenic heritage in 2024. 

Eligible applicants must be residents of California, full-time, degree-seeking college students (undergraduate) at an accredited college or university in the United States.  A minimum GPA of 3.00 (on a 4.00 scale) is required. 

The 2024 GAPWS scholarship recipient will receive $2,000. 

 

Deadline for applications is January 10, 2024
